
Okay, I know I’ve been skirting my feature duties. By my calculations I haven’t done an installment of “The Blu Room” since August. Damn I’m slow. As a way to alleviate this stack of recent Blu-rays on my desk, I’ve pondered a series of articles, each of which will spotlight a particular subject.
This week: Overlooked Performances.

Oh terrible horror movies, why must you exist. Granted, this one is from the ’80s which was a completely different time in horror movies, but that doesn’t justify why they decided to release this one.

Several of this year’s foreign films have just been announced to be released on DVD in 2009. Read on about the best vampire tale of the year (sorry Twilight fans), a raw look at the Italian mob, and two from France.

ABC Family seems to be trying to shed its image as a family network. Recently more original television programming is being aimed towards the high school and college-aged audience. Greek was one such show that became a breakout hit for the network. It definitely didn’t bring anything new to the teen soap opera genre of television, but it surprisingly had a good message underneath most of its mature storylines. Would the second season of Greek follow that formula or would it get a little more soapy with no substance behind it?
